In Tashkent, a man who harassed a girl in the metro was sentenced to five days in jail.

In court, the offender denied his guilt, claiming that he did not intentionally touch the girl.

In the Chilanzar District Court for Criminal Cases, an administrative case was heard against 28-year-old I. I., who was accused of sexually harassing an unfamiliar girl, reports UzNews.uz, citing the court's decision.
According to the case materials, citizen I. I. engaged in inappropriate behavior towards a girl at the "Chilanzar" metro station and later in a train carriage, by touching her lower body.
During the trial, the man denied his guilt. He stated that there were many people in the metro on the day of the incident, which could have led to accidentally brushing against the girl.
By the court's decision, citizen I. I. was found guilty of committing an offense as defined by part 1 of article 41-1 of the Administrative Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan (Sexual Harassment), and he was sentenced to 5 days of administrative arrest.
