In Fergana, work is underway to dismantle the multi-fuel gas station and gas filling point, where on December 17, an explosion occurred due to violations of the technological process during the unloading of liquefied gas and disregard for safety regulations.
“Currently, dismantling of the filling station is in progress. The main goal is to protect the population and the area, as well as to prevent possible emergency situations. At the request of the station manager, it will be destroyed and will not resume operations,” - reported the press service of the regional emergency management agency.
It is worth noting that as a result of the explosion, one person died on the spot, while three others later passed away in the hospital. Several individuals were injured.
An investigation has been initiated regarding this incident under paragraph "a" of part 3 of article 257 (Violation of labor protection rules) and paragraph "a" of part 3 of article 259 (Violation of fire safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan.
