On Thursday, a meeting took place in Tashkent between the President's Assistant Saida Mirziyoyeva and the head of the UNICEF office in Uzbekistan, Regina Maria Castiglione. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss key issues related to education and healthcare, as well as to strengthen cooperation between Uzbekistan and UNICEF.
One of the central topics was the need to ensure equal access to quality education for all segments of the population. The participants discussed the challenges in this area and the potential for overcoming them through joint initiatives.
Special attention was also given to measures aimed at strengthening primary healthcare, including the accessibility of medical services for vulnerable groups and the necessity of implementing innovative approaches to enhance the quality of medical assistance.
“The health of the nation is a key priority of state policy, and the support of international organizations plays a crucial role in achieving this goal,” noted Saida Mirziyoyeva.
Despite existing difficulties, both parties expressed firm confidence that cooperation would lead to significant successes.
Regina Maria Castiglione highlighted Uzbekistan's high level of engagement in addressing socially significant issues and expressed UNICEF's readiness for further collaboration.
