What will the "Yunusabad" market look like after the extensive renovations? Check out the photos!

The new market will be a three-story eco-market, with its area expanding nearly fivefold. Upon completion of the construction, 2,000 retail spaces will be created.
The market will consist of several zones, with the eco-market area set to open by the end of 2025. During the construction phase, operations will not be halted, allowing all entrepreneurs to continue their work. The new market will be integrated with metro stations and public transport, becoming an essential trading hub for over 360,000 residents of the Yunusabad district.
It is noted that the market project was developed by a Turkish-Singaporean design team, which has a portfolio of more than 125 successful shopping center and mall projects worldwide.
The new bazaar will feature a three-story eco-market. A modern mega mall with an entertainment center and retail spaces for artisans and jewelers will be built nearby. The total area will expand from 19,000 to 94,000 square meters. A convenient and secure parking space for 1,100 vehicles will be constructed, with 650 of those underground. Currently, the bazaar offers only 150 outdated parking spots.
The project places special emphasis on preserving the current market functions. It will be located within a spacious high hall featuring galleries and an atrium at its center. The market will receive natural light through roof windows. Additionally, the trading areas will be divided into several sections: dairy products, vegetables, fruits, meat, fish, and others. There will also be storage facilities, freezers, meat processing rooms, and other spaces that meet high sanitary standards. Cafes and summer terraces will be open to visitors.
Moreover, this project has been adapted to the climatic characteristics of the region. During its development, a survey of market visitors was conducted. City residents requested the creation of a comfortable all-season space: heated in winter and cooled in summer.
One of the priorities during the market's reconstruction is to maintain the livelihoods of around 350 existing entrepreneurs. All stalls will be temporarily relocated to a designated area within the market during the construction phase. Upon completion, the total number of trading spots will increase to 2,000, allowing entrepreneurs to rent the same or larger spaces under mutually beneficial contractual terms.
The Tashkent city administration plans to hold a special meeting with entrepreneurs in the near future to clarify the new conditions and listen to their requests.
It is emphasized that the reconstruction of the "Yunusabad" market will create an additional 4,000 to 5,000 jobs. This will lead to a significant increase in tax revenues and budget income from market activities.
