President: 297 economic leaders dismissed for failing to address poverty reduction effectively.

Today, December 16, Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a video conference meeting to discuss the results of the efforts made to reduce poverty in the mahallas and the main plans for 2025.

The President noted that some local leaders are under the misconception that the difficulties faced are "temporary and will pass in a year or two."

In this regard, due to the identified shortcomings and irresponsibility in the economic sector, 297 leaders were dismissed from their positions.

“I strictly warn: a leader who does not go to the field to address the problems of the population and entrepreneurs will not work. Everyone must change. You can see how the political and economic situation in the world is becoming more complex by the minute, with new threats emerging. If we do not find answers today, it will be too late tomorrow,” emphasized the head of state.
