In St. Petersburg, a suitcase was found in the basement of a residential building, from which the body of a woman exhibiting signs of violent death was extracted. This was reported by the press service of the regional Investigative Committee.
According to the information, on December 10, a citizen of Uzbekistan left Russia and returned to his homeland, where he contacted local law enforcement authorities.
He confessed that on December 9, he committed the murder of his cohabitant, who was also a citizen of Uzbekistan, and provided the exact address where he had hidden her body.
“The investigative-operational group immediately went to the specified address. During the inspection of the basement of a building on Olga Berggolts Street, a buried suitcase was discovered, from which the body of a woman with signs of violent death was extracted,” the statement said.
Currently, investigative actions are underway to clarify all the circumstances of the incident.
Examinations have been appointed, including a medical one, to determine the exact cause of death.
