On December 21, dozens of Uzbeks were stranded in a bus in Kazakhstan due to the freezing temperatures, reports Orda.
The incident occurred on the night of December 21 on the “Samara — Shymkent” highway in the Irgiz district of the Aktobe region. Due to a breakdown of the passenger bus, people were nearly frozen. Rescuers evacuated 52 passengers from the bus to the nearest warming station in the village of Irgiz, including one child.
Most of them are citizens of Uzbekistan, while six are from Tajikistan. No one required medical assistance. It has been reported that all passengers continued their journey to their destination on another bus.
