The President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, announced that the country's accession process to the World Trade Organization (WTO) is in its final stages. Uzbekistan has already reached agreements with major partners, including the United States and China.

This year, significant issues concerning border crossings with neighboring countries have been resolved. In the Andijan region, the checkpoints "Khanabad," "Mingtepa," "Korasuv," and "Uchkurgan," which had been closed for 8 to 13 years, have resumed operations. This has reduced the distance for residents and entrepreneurs by 100 km.

Over the past 11 months, the number of vehicles crossing the border has increased by 400,000, surpassing the 3 million mark. In 2025, additional corridors are planned to be constructed at five border points, which will increase their capacity fivefold.
