Узбекистан начинает проводить духовную экспертизу для фильмов и сериалов.

Uzbekistan is implementing spiritual reviews for movies and TV series.

Uzbekistan is implementing a mandatory "spiritual examination" procedure for all audiovisual materials intended for distribution.

In Uzbekistan, an obligatory procedure of "spiritual expertise" is being introduced for all audiovisual materials intended for dissemination in the media. This applies to both domestic productions and foreign films, series, cartoons, and musical works.

According to information provided by Otabek Khasanov, the head of the Center for Spirituality and Enlightenment, only those media materials that successfully pass this expertise will be granted access to airwaves and publications in the media. A specially formed group of experts will evaluate the content for compliance with state policy, national and universal values, as well as accepted moral criteria.

Within the framework of the expertise, particular attention will be paid to identifying scenes that contain elements of immorality or indecency, which could potentially have a negative impact on personality development. Experts will also analyze the influence of content on the upbringing of the younger generation and the national mentality. Materials that do not meet the established criteria will not be allowed for showing or publication in the media of the republic.

The "spiritual expertise" procedure aims to ensure that media content aligns with the value orientations of Uzbek society. It is anticipated that this measure will protect citizens, especially the youth, from the potentially harmful effects of information that promotes negative behavior patterns. The authorities of Uzbekistan believe that this initiative contributes to strengthening the moral foundations of society and preserving cultural heritage. Details regarding the procedure for conducting the expertise, the composition of the expert group, and the evaluation criteria have not yet been disclosed. Additional information is expected to be provided in the near future.
