The project is being managed by the Korea National Railway Corporation (KORAIL), along with Saman and Dongmyeong Technology Corporation. It is scheduled for completion by spring 2026. The new high-speed rail route will connect Tashkent and Samarkand.
As part of the project, KORAIL aims to provide Uzbekistan with advanced Korean technologies in railway construction.
It is worth noting that a company has been established in Bishkek for the construction of the China — Kyrgyzstan — Uzbekistan railway.
