The average interest rate on personal loans in Uzbekistan has risen.

In November, the average interest rate on consumer loans in the country's banks rose to 24.3% per annum, which is 0.5% higher than the level recorded in September, when this figure was at its lowest for the year. This information was reported by the Central Bank.

The interest rate for business loans remains at 22.7% per annum, unchanged since August. The yield on deposits for individuals in the national currency has also remained stable, standing at 22.1% in November. Interest rates on deposits for legal entities decreased to 16.3% after a brief increase in October.

The yield on foreign currency deposits for companies rose by 1.5%, reaching a peak of 6.3% per year. Interest rates on foreign currency deposits for the public increased from 4.8% to 5% per annum. Long-term loans in foreign currency became cheaper, dropping to 9.7%, while rates for short-term loans rose to 10.8%. Higher rates for short-term foreign currency loans were only recorded in September.
