The opening ceremony took place in the innovative space The Garage in Riyadh, supported by Plug and Play Riyadh. The new IT Park office in the region will provide access to the Central Asian market and offer Uzbek startups opportunities to operate in the Gulf countries.
The Minister of Digital Development, Sherzod Shermatov, who spoke at the event, emphasized that the launch of the representative office will strengthen partnerships between countries and accelerate the market integration process.
In early November, IT-Park opened its representative office in South Korea. This new office was established as part of the Uzbek-Korean IT Business Alliance, formed between IT Park Uzbekistan and the Korean Institute of International Industrial Cooperation (KIIIC).
In October and November of this year, 112 export-oriented companies gained resident status at IT-Park. Among them, 59 organizations attracted foreign investments from the USA, Canada, the UK, UAE, Japan, China, Turkey, Switzerland, Malaysia, Portugal, the Netherlands, and Poland.
It is worth noting that IT-Park Uzbekistan launched a $10 million venture fund. This fund is aimed at startups in the fields of artificial intelligence, green technologies, educational technologies, fintech, and game development.
